¡Hola! I will continue to be a second-grade teacher at Sanchez this upcoming year. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, where I began my educational journey at Zavala Elementary. I later became part of the inaugural graduating class of the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders. After high school, I attended St. Edward’s University. For the past seven years, I have had the honor of teaching in East Austin schools. My work is rooted in pride for my community and a deep belief in the potential of every child.

¡Hola! I am so excited to be joining the Sanchez community! This will be my 4th year as a 2nd grade bilingual teacher!
Growing up in a border town, I was surrounded by both Spanish and English, different cultures, traditions, and so many people who made me appreciate the beauty of being bilingual. That experience is a huge part of why I love being a bilingual teacher today. I love creating a classroom where students can celebrate who they are, feel proud of their language and culture, and see their bilingualism as the superpower that it is!
I believe that 2nd grade should be a year full of learning, curiosity, confidence, growth, and most importantly, FUN!! I am so excited to learn, grow, and make memories with my students and families this year!
