Gabriela Jimenez

I am a 4th grade bilingual teacher and have been with AISD for 9 years. I am from McAllen, TX. My family is from El Paso, TX and San Luis Potosí, México. I have degrees in Business Administration, Bilingual Education and in Spanish language and cultures.

Kyla Johnson

Hello! I am excited to join the Sanchez community as a 4th Grade ESL teacher.  I am Originally from Dallas, Texas, I have been living in Austin for the past two years. I am passionate about helping students learn, grow, and build confidence in their abilities. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing the excitement on a student's face when they master a new skill or overcome a challenging concept.

I am excited to continue growing as an educator while building meaningful relationships with my students, their families, and my colleagues. I look forward to collaborating with the Sanchez community to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

I am looking forward to a successful and rewarding school year, and I can't wait to meet everyone. Here's to a wonderful year of learning, growth, and new experiences!

Yadira Landaverde

I’m excited to begin my first year teaching at Sanchez as a fourth grade dual-language teacher! Before joining Sanchez, I taught for 15 years at Houston Elementary and spent the last two years at Perez Elementary. I have now taught all grade levels in Pre-K3 (Head Start) through 6th grade. I grew up in Mission, Texas, in the Rio Grande Valley. I have three grown children—two sons and a daughter. I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Social Work, and my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Texas State University. As a teacher, my goal is to create a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom where every student feels valued, challenged, and excited to learn. I’m looking forward to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year and can't wait to meet all of my new students!
