ES Physical Ed Teachers

Normando Garcia

Welcome to an exciting school year! I'm thrilled to be one of your child's Physical Education teachers. Born and raised in El Paso, I moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas, and I've proudly been teaching for over twenty years. My wife Erika and I have two children, Liam and Emma, who also attend schools in Austin ISD. I've spent the majority of my career as a dual-language instructor in elementary education, with a background teaching first, third, and fourth grades, as well as several years at the middle school level. For the past four years, I’ve brought that passion for learning to the gym, helping our students stay active, healthy, and confident every single day. I look forward to working with you to make this a fantastic school year!

Megan Vasquez

Megan Vasquez has been a PE teacher for 15 years, spending her entire teaching career at bilingual campuses in Austin. She taught for eight years at Perez Elementary and seven years at Becker Elementary. Born and raised in East Austin, Megan is especially excited to join the Sanchez community. Megan is also a current graduate student at UT Austin studying Educational Policy and Planning.

ES Art Teacher

Anna Margaret Kamburis

I’m so excited to begin my 9th year teaching art for AISD and Sanchez. My previous teaching experience includes teaching Pre-K  and family yoga. As a native Austinite, it’s  meaningful to be part of this community and share my love of art with my students.

ES Music Teacher

Jacarious Stanley

I will be the music teacher at Sanchez this year. I am looking forward to connecting with the awesome community here and introducing the children to the vast world/sounds of music!
